Many Faces in Science

People of color are dramatically underrepresented in the sciences. The Many Faces of Science exhibition is aimed at motivating minority students to stay in school, and to encourage them to set goals and strive towards careers in math and science.

The focal point of Many Faces in Science is a series of life-size, three-dimensional scenes showing successful minority scientists working in their offices, laboratories, and out in the field. The exhibit focuses on these individuals as real people with hobbies and varied interests, and describes their childhoods and early interest in science. Students who have been in science programs or science fairs are also depicted as inspirational role models.
