Procedures for Booking and Showing a Traveling Exhibit
- Exhibitors must return a signed contract confirming the booking dates.
- Exhibitors must pay the participation fee within 30 days of billing. Prices are for a 6-week booking period unless otherwise noted.
- Exhibitors are responsible for shipping costs. Bell Museum personnel will work with exhibitors to make shipping arrangements.
- Exhibitors must report condition of exhibit within 48 hours of unpacking.
- Exhibitors may not make repairs to exhibitions without permission from Bell Museum personnel
- Exhibitions require security. No smoking, food, or drinks are allowed in exhibition or storage space.
- High Security - for exhibitions containing objects that are highly valuable, sensitive to light or climactic conditions, or fragile. Requires a limited-access
gallery, supervision while the gallery is open, and provisions to prevent the public from touching non-enclosed objects. Exhibition area must be locked and secure
during closing hours.
- Moderate Security - for exhibitions that contain original works of art, prints, graphics, or photographs. Requires a limited-access gallery and supervision while
the gallery is open. Exhibition area must be locked and secure during closing hours.
- Low Security - for panel exhibitions containing no original works of art. Exhibitions may be displayed in a gallery or lounge area with supervision. Exhibition area
must be locked and secure during closing hours.
- Exhibitors are responsible for any loss or damage to exhibitions while in their possession. Art exhibits must be covered by a door-to-door fine arts insurance policy.
- The Bell Museum must be properly credited (in press releases, announcements, printed matter, etc.)
- No commercial use may be made of Bell Museum exhibitions, and access must be open to all
