JASON Expedition: Disappearing Wetlands curriculum consists of three core units:
Unit 1 — Louisiana's Changing Wetlands

- How do rivers interact with Earth's systems?
- Why are Louisiana's coastal wetlands disappearing?
Unit 2 — Louisiana's Wetland Ecosystems
Research Questions
- What kinds of wetland ecosystems can be found in Louisiana?
- What kinds of plants and animals do Louisiana's wetlands support?
- How do plants and animals depend on one another and their environment?
- How are changes to Louisiana's wetlands impacting the plant and animal communities that live there?
Unit 3 — Managing Louisiana's Wetlands
Research Questions
- How have humans impacted Louisiana's wetlands?
- What are the social and economic effects of wetland loss in Louisiana?
- How are people working together to restore Louisiana's wetlands?
