DONATION GUIDELINES

Thank you for depositing material at the Bell Museum of Natural History. To maximize the scientific utility of your specimens we need accurate collection information.

I. The following must be included for each site that material was collected from:

  • Country, State, County
  • Township, Range, Section or Latitude and Longitude
  • Watershed, River/Stream
  • Collector and affiliation
  • Collection date(s)
  • General site description
  • Nearest town
  • Copy of collection permit or permit number and agency

For lots with multiple bags, provide locality information in each bag.

II. We would also appreciate the following additional information with your submission(s):

  • River mile
  • Ecological information or other comments
  • Brief description of specimens (wet or dry material & approximate quantity)
  • Identifier if specimens have been identified

III. Please submit resulting publications or reports based on voucher material for our file.

IV. Include the following contact information with your specimens:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Affiliation
  • email/telephone
