of Minnesota's Itasca Biological Station and Laboratories in
Itasca State Park, 20 miles north of Park Rapids, Minnesota.
Considered the crown jewel of Minnesota's parks, 32,000 acre
Itasca is home to the headwaters of the Mississippi River and
more than 100 crystal clear lakes.
Take in the autumn beauty of Itasca's deep woods and towering
pines by hiking the station's extensive trails. On Saturday
evening, enjoy a gourmet game dinner at the director's cabin
with Itasca's director, university plant guru and gourmet chef,
David Biesboer.
This package includes three nights lodging for up to four people
in a lakeside cabin with a fully equipped modern kitchen and

He's currently working with the Minnesota State Fair Foundation to replant the state fairgrounds with breakthrough disease and stress resistant elms that are currently being field evaluated at the University of Minnesota. Johnson can help you think through tree-related landscaping issues or give your existing ecosystem a healthy check-up.
