Size: 57-64 cm (22.5-25 in.)
Habitat/Range:Prairies, brushy open country, and the Badlands. Nest ranges from Canadian provinces south to Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Oklahoma. Usually spends the winter in the southwestern U.S.
Eating Habits: Feed primarily on prairie dogs and ground squirrels.
