Canada Goose
Branta canadensis
Size: 63-108 cm (25-43 in.)
Habitat/Range: Various habitats, more often in open areas on and around wetlands of all types. Often found in cities and highly adaptable to human presence. Coast to coast in Canada and into the far north.
Eating Habits: Seeds, aquatic insects, plants

The canada goose is gray with a black head and neck. Partial to non-migrators. Canada geese mate for life, and the family group remains together for several months after hatching the young.
