Mission & Goals
Mission: DISTANCE LEARNING provides standards-based innovative professional development for teachers and distance learning science programs for students grades 4-8 throughout the state of Minnesota.
Goals:
- To provide Minnesota educators and students access to scientists and science as it is happening.
- To provide equal access to DISTANCE LEARNING programs for students and teachers located throughout Minnesota.
- To provide Minnesota educators with innovative and interdisciplinary science-based classroom materials and teaching techniques.
- To assist educators in meeting the Minnesota National Graduation and National Education Standards.
- To model a broad spectrum of scientists and science-related careers without bias.
- To excite, engage, and encourage students in science, nature, and technology.
