We will learn about these reptiles and amphibians as well as turtles, lizards, geckos, and iguanas. We will examine live snakes and salamanders, and go out in the field to try to find some other cool scaly creatures.

Did you know that comic book superheroes can help you learn science? In this class we will look at many different superheroes. Some are based on real science and some are not. We will look at the animals and plants that these heroes are based on, and we’ll explore what superpowers don’t make any scientific sense. We will even create some of our own comic books with unique heroes, incorporating all the things we have learned.

August 4–8, grades K–1 completed—FULL
The oceans are the last largely unexplored place on this planet. In this camp, we will examine everything from mighty whales and microscopic plankton to coral reefs and deep ocean trenches. Come take a trip to collect fossils of ancient ocean creatures that lived during a time when even Minnesota was covered by an ocean. Become an ocean explorer and discover what it is like to live under the sea.
Wonders of the World

Stonehenge, the Great Wall of China, and the Great Barrier Reef are some other wonders that we will explore.
