Nature’s Oddities and Curiosities
June 29-July 3, grades 2 - 3 completed
August 17- 21, grades K-1 completed

Did you know that honey is actually bee barf? Or that bat poop is great for a garden? We’ll explore Minnesota’s oddest creatures and behavior in this camp devoted to the “freaky” side of nature. We’ll even replicate slime, make edible scat (animal poop), and create our own animal oddity.

Pets and Wild Animals
June 22- 26, grades K- 1 completed
July 20 – 24, grades K -1 completed - CANCELED
August 3 -7, grades 2-3 completed

Cats and dogs are related to some of the fiercest and most fascinating predators on Earth. In this camp, we’ll explore the similarities and differences between the lives of our favorite pets and their not-so-domesticated cousins.

Reptiles Rule and Amphibians Are Cool
July 6 - 10, grades K - 1 completed
August 10 - 14, grades 2 -3 completed

In this camp, we’ll learn about turtles, salamanders, and snakes and the difference between reptiles and amphibians. You’ll get a chance to get up close and personal with native Minnesota snakes and turtles from the Bell Museum’s Touch and See Room.

August 31 - September 4, grades 2 - 3 completed FULL
In this camp, we’ll explore astronomy and meteorology and learn about the stars, planets, and other features of the cosmos. We’ll also learn what causes the seasons and what creates different weather. You’ll get a chance to make your own solar system and mini tornado.
