ARTIFACT LOANS

Educators are encouraged to bring artifacts and specimens into their classrooms by borrowing from the museum's educational collections. The Bell Museum's biological collections include specimens from around the world and are the largest in the world documenting the biodiversity of Minnesota. Included are materials from many Minnesota animals, including deer, beaver, raccoon, and others. Specimens include bird study skins, mammal study skins, animal bones and skulls, fossils, rocks, shells, antlers, and horns. Teachers in any discipline will discover relevant collection materials to enhance their classroom lessons and activities.

Materials are appropriate for all grades and ages. Borrow up to eight items for seven consecutive days or one item for three weeks. To make arrangements for this service, call 612-626-7133 or e-mail Jennifer.Menken@bellmuseum.org. Cost: $50.
